Dear Friends,

In the recent primary Terry Falk
finished first, ahead of the incumbent,
Joe Dannecker, 44% to 37%. Falk is ready to roll up his sleeves and get
to work. But he needs your help to win the Milwaukee School Board 8th
District seat on April 3.

We have a lot of work to do to improve our schools. Joe Dannecker refers
to the current decline of our Milwaukee Public schools as "reform." We
call it regressive, and we deserve better!

In 2003, Dannecker received 60% of his campaign funding from out of
state, including voucher advocates such as the Walton Family of
Wal-Mart. Checks flowed from places like New York and Wyoming to fund
Dannecker's campaign.

Tuesday, February 20th is the primary. Tuesday is your chance as
a parent and taxpayer to have a say which way our schools are
headed.

Terry Falk, a Bay View resident, is a career educator who offers
creative solutions to problems afflicting Milwaukee Public
Schools.

Falk is running against incumbent Joe Dannecker for the 8th
district school board seat. On Dannecker's watch, we have seen
our high schools suffer from disorganization and violence. We
have watched this school board eliminate vital programs in
art, music, physical education, library services, and guidance

Doyle's position on Public Intervenor?

Canvassed today, and 1 sportsman wanted to know if Doyle was going to
restore an independent Public Intervenor. Has Doyle tried? Is he in
favor of an elected position; if not would the DNR appoint? The constituent
wants an elected Public Intervenor, *not* one appointed by the DNR.
