Candidates endorsed by the Milwaukee County Democratic Party
Summary:
At the general meeting on Jan. 28, the party members considered requests for endorsements by several candidates. Seven candidates received endorsements.
Body:
The following candidates were endorsed for the offices listed:
- District 12 County Supervisor: Peggy West
- District 14 County Supervisor: Chris Larson
- District 10 County Supervisor: Annie Woodward
- Sixth District Alderperson: Una Van de Wall
- Third District Alderperson: Patrick Flaherty
- City Attorney: Pedro Colon
- County Executive: Lena Taylor
With both Dan Cody and Lynn DeBruin runing for District 5 County Supervisor and requesting support, the members voted not to endorse either candidate.
Sandy Paasch, who is running for State Representative in the 22nd Assembly District, is running in a partisan race. State party rules do not allow endorsement in partisan races prior to the primary which will not occur until the fall. Currently, Paasch is running unopposed.
